Game 1 @Galloway:  Civale for Foggy vs Wheeler for Galloway

Crawford homers for Fogg in top of the 1st for 1-0 lead but Yaz 2 run shot in the 2nd puts Galloway up 2-1.  Verdugo run scoring single in the 3rd ties the score 2-2, but Baez HR in 5th puts Jim back on top 3-2.  This is how it stayed until the 8th when Crawford led of the innng with a single, and Verdugo followed with a 2 run HR and Foggy now on top 4-3.  In bottom of the 8th Kittredge got the 1st out, then walked 3 in a row.  Fogg brings in Kimbrel to face Muncy looking for a K.  But Muncy bounced into a 6-4-3 DP to end the 8th.  Kimbrel set them down 1-2-3 in the 9th and Foggy takes game 1, 4-3.

Game 2 @Galloway:  Buehler for Foggy vs Gibson for Jim

Buehler was in top form allowing only 1 hit and the FoggyMountain express offense was firing on all cylinders in a 10-0 win in game 2.  There were 0 HR's in the game, but Brandon Crawford led the way going 3-5 with a double and 3 rbi.

Game 3 @Foggy:  Gausman for Jim vs Peralta for Foggy

Foggy's offense continues as Lopez leads off the game with a 3B and scores on Betts SF.  In the 4th,  Gallo walked and Goldi doubled him home with Goldi advancing to 3rd on the throw to tie the score at 1. Yaz SF scored Goldi and Jim was on top 2-1. In the 6th Peralta booted Goldi's ground ball for a 2 base error.  A Yaz grounder to 2nd advanced Goldi to 3rd and he scored on Stanton's SF

to give Jim a 3-2 lead.  In the 7th Kiermaier singled to lead off the inning for Foggy.  Then after 2 outs were recorded, consecutive singles by Betts, Crawford and Verdugo plated two more runs for a 4-3 Foggy lead.  Kiermaier's 2 run shot in the bottom of the 8th made it 6-3 and Foggy's Bullpen recorded the final 6 outs as Foggy takes a 3-0 series lead.

Game 4:  @Bassitt for Jim vs Stroman for Foggy

Jim takes a 1-0 lead on Brandon Lowes HR in the 3rd and extends it to 2-0 when Bassitt singled home Goldi in the 4th.  Over the 1st 3 innings Bassitt was in control recording 4 K's with only 1 hit.  But in the 4th Lopez and Gurriel singled to open the inning.. Bassitt got Crawford on a popout and then k'd Verdugo.  But Devers doubled scoring Lopez, and Stephenson singled home 

Gurriel to tie the score.  Will Myers then stepped up and singled to score Devers and Foggy led 3-2 after 4.  Into the 8th we go with Foggy still clinging to a 1 run lead.  But Stanton steps to the plate and plants a Mayza fastball in the LF bleechers to tie the game 3-3 heading into the bottom of the 9th.  With Rich Rodriguez on the mound, Crawford K'd but Josh Bell pinch hitting for the pitcher followed with a double.  After another K, Tyler Stephenson stepped to the plate and ripped a run scoring single to score Bell with the winning run and take the series 4-0.

Jim Galloway and I also met in the South Regional final which he won, and I must say playing Jim is always a great experience.  He built a great team and managed it well.  I was fortunate enough to catch the breaks at the right time.  Again thanks to Pete Nelson, Gene Aboud, and all those on the council who work to make this tournament happen.
